DescriptionThe Automotive team at Amazon is looking for a highly motivated Senior Vendor Manager to own the P&L and relationships with some of the largest vendors in Automotive. The Senior Vendor Manager will utilize a wide range of skills and work across major functional areas such as inventory management, marketing, merchandising, pricing, operations, and finance to drive the performance of selling partners and will also act as the vertical lead for their category.As a Senior Vendor Manager, you will be accountable for business results across the vendors and categories you manage. Your direct responsibility will be to manage performance of the product portfolio including developing vendor relationships, negotiating terms and contracts, expanding product selection, setting prices, influencing inventory forecasts, developing marketing programs, driving sales and margin improvements, and creating a best-in-class customer experiences.The successful candidate will be able to take their broad skill-set and experience across multiple facets of retail to drive a successful business. They will be able to deliver results at both strategic and tactical levels across the business, innovate on behalf of customers, and achieve profitable long-term growth. They will have strong verbal and written communication skills and work effectively with stakeholders across multiple levels of the organization.Key job responsibilities Conduct financial analysis of business opportunities to meet and exceed revenue and profitability targets by executing annual and ongoing vendor negotiations. Have a thorough understanding of the industry, business trends, events, and continually monitor both industry and competitor developments. Maximize Amazon’s business and financial profitability through selection optimization and expansion opportunities. Have an understanding of customer needs and use that knowledge to advocate for, and drive delivery of, improvements that provide Amazon customers with an unparalleled shopping experience. Build vendor/brand relationships - be the primary point of contact for vendor selection on-boarding, escalations, and negotiations. Coordinate across cross-functional teams and communicate with internal and external stakeholders, all while meeting tight deadlines. Have a complete understanding (inclusive of the strategic context) of internal and external variables that impact your business. This includes owning forecasting, analyzing, understanding, and reporting on the business.About the teamAutomotive is a large and dynamic businesses within Amazon Stores. 5+ years of account management, project or program management or buying experience

Bachelor's degree

Experience driving internal cross-team collaboration

Experience using data to influence business decisions

Experience with business analysis and P&L management

Preferred Qualifications

Experience driving direction and alignment with cross-functional teams

The base pay for this position ranges from $109,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
