Employees in this position work in a Distribution Center or a Shipping Area completing tasks such as but not limited to, receiving, storing, issuing, packaging, crating, over boxing of aircraft parts, major assemblies, tools, kits and hazardous material.

Assure proper handling and packaging of hazardous materials per established domestic and international rules, regulations and mandates.

Employees will be required to use and operate typical material handling equipment such as riding electric powered lifts, overhead hoists, conveyors as well as packaging equipment such as power saws, pneumatic nail guns and staplers, knives and banding equipment.

May also be required to work in high places.

This position will require the ability to frequently stand, lift/carry up to 15 lbs. and occasionally up to 35lbs.

Occasionally bend, kneel, and twist.

The employee may be exposed to radioactive signs, explosives, lubricants, solvents, wood splinters, saw dust and other hazardous materials.

Eye, hearing, hand/foot and fall protection may be required

Operate Microsoft Windows and mainframe computing to maintain inventory records and accountability.

Open shipping containers using knife, crow bar and/or hammer.

Compare and verify shipping label and packing slip to parts for accuracy.

Sort freight and route to appropriate areas.

Store parts to assure inventory accuracy as well part integrity.

Fabricate and pack shipping containers.

Maintain effectiveness when experiencing major changes in work tasks or environment as well as daily work priorities.

Develop and use collaborative relationships to facilitate the completion of team goals.

MUST BE ABLE TO PASS A DRUG TEST/BACKGROUND CHECK

MUST HAVE A HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA/GED

MUST BE SHIFT FLEXIBLE

MUST PROVIDE OWN SAFETY SHOES

MUST BE US CITIZEN OR PERMANENT RESIDENT
