Shipping/Receiving Assembly Technician

Mt. Baker Mining and Metals is seeking a Shipping/Receiving, Assembly Technician. Join a family-owned equipment manufacturing company located in Bellingham, specializing in industrial machinery for processing gold ore, rocks to gravel, precious metals recovery, scrap metal, and related industries.

We’re looking for a team player that knows how to follow direction, can take initiative and is comfortable working and learning in a manufacturing shop environment. You will be focused, self-motivated, with strong attention to detail and the ability to work individually and collaboratively.

This is a full-time position that offers challenge and opportunity in a small business environment.

Responsibilities:

· Receive, organize and stock incoming material, processing paperwork as necessary.

· Build custom-sized crates for varying part/component shipping.

· Organize material to ensure best visibility and efficient production usage and shipping.

· Maintain accurate receiving, shipping and inventory paperwork.

· Pull and package material orders for production, suppliers and customers.

· Collaborate with the Purchasing department to place orders and manage inventory.

· Assemble parts and equipment.

· Use and knowledge of hand tools, measuring devices, and assembly hardware.

· Other duties as required.

· Forklift operation a plus.

Qualifications

· Experience in shipping, receiving, and assembly in a manufacturing environment

· Familiarity with MRP/ERP systems.

· High school diploma or equivalent
