Job Summary:Snow removal equipment operators are responsible for snow removal from the ski resort’s parking and base areas. This is a crucial piece of the daily operations at Stevens Pass. Clearing snow from storms and maintenance of the parking lots happens when the ski area is closed, typically but not limited to the hours between 10pm and 8am and is weather dependent. The snow removal operator demands a self-motivated and results oriented person who can get the job done with little to no supervision. Snow removal operators may also be trained in slope grooming to support on-mountain operations.Job Specifications:

Expected Pay Range: $20.00 - $25.51 / hour

Shift & Schedule Availability: Full Time

Skill Level: Entry

Job Responsibilities:

Safe and effective operation of Snow Removal equipment including loaders, skid steers and snowcats.

Snow removal without damage to property or operational impact.

Arrival to the mountain in adverse weather and begins work independently.

Work a flexible schedule including nights, weekend, holidays, etc.

Takes direction and work as part of a team.

Monitor all equipment and make sure that all issues are addressed promptly and communicated with Fleet Maintenance.

Maintaining a safe working environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in the dark using expensive equipment capable of causing damage and injury if misused.

Job Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED - preferred

Valid Driver's License – required

Previous heavy equipment experience - required

Read, Write, and Speak English fluently - required

Ability to lift 50lbs and perform physical labor - required

Ability to work outside in a high alpine environment - required

Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions

Communication with the general public and a friendly attitude

Job Requirements:

At least 1 year heavy equipment experience- required

Experience using power tools- preferred

Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions

Familiarity with hydraulic powered heavy equipment

Ability to solve practical problems as they arise in the course of plowing

The expected pay range is $20.00 - $25.51. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position.
