Software Design Engineer

Our client has a brand-new opportunity for a Software Design Engineer to join their team. This candidate will develop software programs of a complex nature, including operating systems, applications, and / or network products which may be for external use. The candidate will develop project plans, functional specifications, and schedules for these products as well. The role requires the candidate to design and perform analysis on moderately complex programs and systems. This candidate will also assist in in determining product requirements and enhancements.Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field
  • Master's degree may substitute for up to 2 years of related experience, or equivalent work experience / training
• 4+ years of work-related experience
• Strong experience with Windows drivers knowledge, integration and debugging
• Relevant technical industry expertise
• Outstanding all-round communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
• May need advanced knowledge of programming languages and / or development tools in one area, and moderate level skills in multiple areas
• Strong analytical and reasoning skills with an ability to visualize processes and outcomes
• Proficiency in troubleshooting software issues and debugging a large codebase
• Knowledge of algorithms and data structures
