The team makes tools and workflows to automate processes for data centers.Key projects: This role will contribute to 2 large projects: UI tuning and migration – migrate infrastructure from one version to another, test coverage, work with internal business PMs often to log issues, some on-call support aspect to the role as well daily work in front end language Angular, working with an existing code base.Typical task breakdown and operating rhythm: The role will consist of not many meetings – 1 hour a day max on-call, 50-60% coding, remainder is ad hoc support.What makes this role interesting? - This role provides the opportunity to work with sophisticated architecture in a highly collaborative team.Unique Selling Points: This role uniquely support data center teams, and leverages and supports AI.Candidate RequirementsYears of Experience Required: 3-5 overall years of experience in the field.Degrees or certifications required: Any degree in a related field is required to be eligible for this role.Disqualifiers: Candidates without significant front-end experience will not be eligible for the role.Best vs. Average: The ideal resume would contain experience with migrating in Angular. Some back end experience may also help, although the role will focus on front end.Top 3 Hard Skills Required + Years of Experience
Minimum 5 years experience with Unit testing in Angular
Minimum 5 years experience with Front End Development
Minimum 3 years experience with HTML/CSS
Summary:The main function of a Software Engineer is to design, develop, implement, test, and maintain business and computer applications software or specialized utility programs including mainframe and client/server applications, and major enhancement of existing systems.Job Responsibilities:
Fine-tune and improve a variety of sophisticated software implementation projects
Gather and analyze system requirements, document specifications, and develop software solutions to meet client needs and data
Analyze and review enhancement requests and specifications
Implement system software and customize to client requirements
Prepare the detailed software specifications and test plans
Code new programs to client’s specifications and create test data for testing
Modify existing programs to new standards and conduct unit testing of developed programs
Create migration packages for system testing, user testing, and implementation
Provide quality assurance reviews
Perform post-implementation validation of software and resolve any bugs found during testing
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required
2-4 years experience required
A solid foundation in computer science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design
large systems software design and development experience
Experience performing in-depth troubleshooting and unit testing with both new and legacy production systems
experience in programming and experience with problem diagnosis and resolution
