AWS Compute Services team is looking for a full stack software engineer to build and maintain services that automate business processes within AWS Hardware Engineering. This engineer will operate in an ambiguous environment, work to identify the business problem and build services to solve complex customer use cases using AWS technologies such as Lambda, API gateway, DynamoDB, SNS, SQS, S3, Cloudwatch and more.The ideal candidate for this role will be an innovative self-starter. You will work with engineers, TPMs and PMs across the organization as well to deliver an amazing experience to your customers. AWS Engineers are shaping the way people use computers and designing the future of cloud computing technology – come help us make history!What you will do: You will be a member of the team that is developing a tool-set to increase the efficiency and operation of AWS Hardware Engineering. You will own features end to end including frontend, backend, database and automated testing. You will recommend product improvements based on your experience and implementation of operational metrics that shows what users are actually doing with our systems.Why it matters: AWS Hardware Engineering designs, manufactures, qualifies and tests all of the hardware that supports AWS massive and growing services. You will see direct product improvements based on the results of your work.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS· 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience· Programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, C, or C# including object-oriented design· 1+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems.· Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical field· 4 to 6 years relevant work experience· 4+ years of coding experience in, at least, one modern programming language such as Python, C, Java, or Perl· 4+ years of experience building and designing full-stack systemsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS· Experience with serverless architectures using AWS services· Designing Single-page and Multi-page web applications· Experience with user interface development using JaveScript along with frameworks such as React & Redux.· Knowledge of REST-API and GraphQL· Relational and NoSQL database experience· Experience with continuous deployment pipelines· Meets/exceeds Amazon’s leadership principles requirements for this role· Meets/exceeds Amazon’s functional/technical depth and complexity for this roleAmazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
