DescriptionJob summaryAWS (Training and Certification Organization) plans to bring its training programs to 29 million people by 2025. To achieve this goal, we are working to scale our operational tools to help our Business Development Managers (BDMs), Training Operations specialists, AWS Partners schedule and deliver training to large enterprises and individuals like you. Our applications support internal users around the globe and we have plans to expand to external users later. The products we are building have high visibility, make a direct impact on customer experience.We are looking for highly motivated Software Development Engineers (SDE) like you to bring in their ideas and experience to help us reach our goals.As an SDE in this group, you will work alongside and mentor other talented engineers. You will be responsible for building the best customer experience, keeping latency, security, and usability in mind. You will interact with Product Managers and Designers and convert their vision into a technical solution. We don’t like getting paged in the middle of the night or on the weekend, so we work to ensure that our systems are fault tolerant. For individuals with disabilities who would like to request an accommodation, please visit: https://www.amazon.jobs/en/disability/us.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS· 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience· Programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, C, or C# including object-oriented design· 1+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems.· Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field at time of application (or graduated less than six months prior to application)· Familiarity with the syntax of languages such as Java, C/C or Python.· Knowledge of Computer Science fundamentals such as object-oriented design, algorithm design, data structures, problem solving, and complexity analysis.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS· Experience in working on both Front end and backend ( Full stack ) software development· Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including Agile development, coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations· Track record of designing and building scalable software systems· Demonstrated experience with computer science fundamentals (algorithms, data structures, etc.)· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other technical field, or commensurate professional experience.· Experience with at least one modern programming language such as Java, Python, C or C#· Experience with service-oriented architecture and web application/services development· Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g. Python, Ruby, Perl)· Passion for performance debugging and benchmarking Ability to clearly and concisely communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders across all levels of the organization· Experience in Javascript (Node.JS)· Meets/exceeds Amazon’s leadership principles requirements for this role· Meets/exceeds Amazon’s functional/technical depth and complexity for this roleAmazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
