See https://aws.amazon.com/aws-cost-management/ for more information.We are looking for a Software Development Engineer (SDE) with experience in building secure, scalable solutions that delight customers. As an engineer within Commerce Platform, you will be part of a team of high performing engineers. You will interface and collaborate with many teams across AWS. You will help us build a responsive, single-page application with front-end technologies like React, Redux, and TypeScript, with data provided from microservices built with AWS EC2, Lambda, and DynamoDB. You will work closely with software development engineers, UX designers, and product managers from conception through delivery of world-class customer experiencesAs a Software engineer, you will have opportunities to learn new technologies and work on the full-stack. Design, develop, troubleshoot, debug, evaluate, modify, deploy, and document high profile, professional, customer-facing front-end web applications.

Help define our secure, scalable, distributed and event-driven systems.

Collaborate/Partner with multiple teams delivering demanding projects.

Functionally decompose complex problems into simple, straight-forward solutions.

Understand system inter-dependencies and limitations.

Share your knowledge of the most effective performance, scalability, architecture, and engineering patterns and methods.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS4+ years of professional software development experience

3+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language

2+ years of experience contributing to the system design or architecture (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems

Experience as a mentor, tech lead OR leading an engineering team

Ability to take a project from scoping requirements through actual launch of the project.

2+ years of experience agile development process within a continuous delivery environment

Strong analytical abilities and design skills

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field OR 7+ years professional experience in software development

Strong sense of ownership, urgency, and drive.

Deep hands-on technical expertise in full-stack development.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSMS in Computer Science or related field

Front-end experience at least one of the modern UI framework such as Reactjs, Vuejs or Angular

Meets/exceeds Amazon’s leadership principles requirements for this role
