Position: Software EngineerDuration: 12 Months ContractLocation: Bothell, WA Must have: Expert C# skills, including writing real-time multi-threaded software with tasks & strong working knowledge of .NET framework and core Who are you?· We are looking for a talented Software Engineer to join our cross-functional engineering team designing instrumentation to aid in cutting-edge scientific research. · You will be part of an innovative software team that develops software that controls a laboratory instrument and allows the scientist full interaction with instrument features. · You will be working closely with both the hardware and lab automation engineering team developing the instrument. · You'll also work with the biologists defining the problems the instrument and software are intended to solve. What will you do? Perform all phases of software development including design, implementation, testing, integration, maintenance of software for the company's cell analysis instruments Development and support of GUI, analysis, communications, and instrument control software and firmware Integration of algorithms & mathematical functions for identification and quantification of data collected by instruments Interact with biologists to translate scientific research needs into instrument user stories and requirements How will you get there?Minimum Qualifications BS in Computer Science or Bioengineering (with software focus) or equivalent 2-5 years of software development experience Proficient in developing with C#.NET Knowledge of current software development best practices including requirements generation, design documentation, and unit testing Experience using source control (i.e. GitHub) Good experimentalist 1-2 years of experience in product development or related field Preferred Qualifications MS in Computer Science or Bioengineering (with software focus) 5-10 years of experience Experience developing motor control for stepper and servo motors Experience in schema and database development Experience developing for embedded OS & kiosk applications USB and Ethernet communication protocol experience Experience with Test Driven Development in an Agile environment Experience working as part of a software team using source control Experience with Linux, QT, and web based application development Experience with MFC Graphical User Interfaces Sathish Kishan +1 Scottsdale, AZ
