Summary: At Meta, we use machine learning/AI technology across a diverse set of applications to help people discover better content more quickly, and to connect with the things that matter most to them. In order to meet the demands of our scale, we approach machine learning challenges from a system engineering standpoint, pushing the boundaries of scalable computing with large fleet of GPUs, and tying together numerous technologies to train models that leverage trillions of data samples. We carry out applied research in ML/AI to design, develop, and manage state-of-the-art training algorithms for ML models used throughout Meta.Required Skills: Software Engineer - Core ML - Trainer Performance & Scalability Responsibilities:

Develop highly scalable algorithms based on state-of-the-art machine learning and neural network methodologies.

Suggest, collect and synthesize requirements and create effective feature roadmap.

Code deliverables in tandem with the engineering team.

Adapt standard machine learning methods to best exploit modern parallel environments (e.g. distributed clusters, multicore SMP, and GPU).

Minimum Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications:

Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Degree must be completed prior to joining Meta.

Research and/or work experience in machine learning, deep learning, recommendation systems, pattern recognition, signal processing, artificial intelligence, or high performance computing, GPU training systems.

Experience in C or Python.

Demonstrated software engineer experience via an internship, work experience, coding competitions, or used contributions in open source repositories (e.g. GitHub).

Must obtain work authorization in country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment.

Experience with state-of-art model training techniques.

Experience with recommendation systems or generative AI.

GPU systems and high performance computing (HPC) experience.

Interpersonal experience: cross-group and cross-culture collaboration.
