You will be responsible for driving new investments to solve hard problems, defining architecture, partnering with teammates, and ensuring high code quality, availability, scalability, and security of our services. You will have opportunities to learn and grow in your role developing services in Azure. Develop large-scale integrated services with enterprise-class quality and utilize your design, customer obsession, and communication skills to bring great experiences for all users.

Building scalable systems and services for managing millions of resources in a massively scalable microservice architecture

Build and innovate shift-left security solutions and services powering the future of secure clouds and integrate it with existing Azure services.

Develop “best-in-class” engineering for our services by ensuring that the services and the components are well-defined, modularized, secure, reliable, testable, diagnosable, actively monitored, and reusable.

Solve significant technological challenges impacting the team and our customers.

Partner and collaborate with peer engineers and customers to deliver impact on our products. Work closely with our internal/external partners to support the team’s mission.

Participate and provide high quality feedback in design reviews, code reviews and other team activities.

Build automation to prevent and/or remediate service problems from becoming production incidents.

You will be able to influence key decisions and create collaborative agreements about sequencing work while maintaining good relationships across teams.

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python

OR equivalent experience.

Other Requirement:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements arerequired for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifi cati ons:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python

OR Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python

OR equivalent experience.

Experience in security, engineering and development skills required including C#/.NET

Experience with owning or driving large scale and highly available services, components, or feature areas

Ability to drive technical investigations and prototyping in a startup environment

BA/BS in Computer Science or relevant work experience

Customer focus and data- driven approach 

End-to-end Delivery and Innovation 

Agility in startup environment 

Experience Optimizing automation, reliability, and monitoring of Livesite.

Startup mentality to move and iterate rapidly, work across disciplines, and focus on customers

Experience with clouse services, shipping distributed systems, services, and/or highly available infrastructure.

Demonstracted excellence in Coding, Code Review and Technical communications.

Cross-division collaborations skills

Software Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $112,000 - $218,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $145,800 - $238,600 per year. Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
