Sr. Accountant

Description In partnership with a highly respected and dynamic company, Robert Half is seeking a Contract Senior Accountant with proficiency in Sage Intacct in Kent, WA. The ideal candidate will have solid accounting experience, excellent analytical skills and a thorough knowledge of accounting principles to bring an innovative approach to our finance department. The candidate needs to be experienced in managing a variety of accounting activities including general ledger preparation, financial reporting, and the support of budget and forecast activities.Key Responsibilities:

Preparing and recording asset, liability, revenue, and expense entries by compiling and analyzing account information.

Maintaining a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure.

Assisting in the improvement of processes and procedures to enhance speed and efficiency of financial close activities.

Assisting with end-of-period procedures and preparing internal financial statements.

Managing and reconciling all general ledger accounts.

Assisting in the budgeting and forecasting processes.

Coordinating with both internal and external auditors during financial and operational audits.

Conducting regular ledger (e.g. Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable) review and reconciliation.

Requirements

A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant field.

A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting.

Proficiency in Sage Intacct software is a must.

Solid understanding of accounting processes and procedures.

Strong knowledge of GAAP.

Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel).

High level of accuracy and efficiency.

Excellent problem-solving, analytical and communication skills.
