Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity in Kirkland, Washington for a Sr. Accountant. This role is in the financial industry and will involve acting as a liaison between our team and auditors, managing multiyear audits, understanding the framework of government financial statements, and working with various systems, including PeopleSoft.Responsibilities: Handle financial statement audits in an organized and efficient manner Act as a bridge between our team and external auditors to ensure smooth communication and workflow Manage physical financial documents by scanning and digitizing them for easy access and reference Oversee multiyear audits, ensuring each one is wrapped up before starting the next Gain a comprehensive understanding of government financial statements, especially in relation to pensions Use your knowledge of Office and Excel to manage and analyze financial data Familiarize yourself with our old system as well as CTC Link (PeopleSoft) to handle financial tasks Utilize your skills in account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations Maintain accurate journal entries and manage the month-end close process Use your experience with NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP to manage general ledger activities. Requirements Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is required Familiarity with Balance Sheet Reconciliation is essential Experience with Bank Reconciliations is necessary Must have a solid understanding of General Ledger accounts Ability to prepare Journal Entries accurately and efficiently Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel is a must Experience with Month End Close procedures is required Proficient in using NetSuite for accounting tasks Familiarity with Oracle software is a must Experience with SAP is highly desirable Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
