You will establish and maintain enterprise and/or domain level architecture through the stages of planning, design, structure, execution, and operation. Translating business requirements into system qualities that lead to repeatable and executable design strategies and patterns for tactical projects / initiatives in collaboration with project teams

Identifying and defining the opportunities for integration, selecting the tools, specifying the shared data & code resources, defining the interfaces and data-flows, and monitoring the success of the integration for tactical projects / initiatives

Developing, instituting, and maintaining the IT design methodology, development process methodology, technology standards, and best practices.

Providing oversight to ensure compliance with architectural standards and practices through all aspects of planning, execution, and operation.

Leading the evaluation of new technology targeted for possible integration into the existing IT environment

Developing, instituting, and maintaining the design and metadata repository for integrating all aspects of established architectural models.

Surveying external emerging developments, and evangelize new technologies, standards and methodologies

Providing expert guidance on tactical projects/initiatives

Provide training, coaching and knowledge transfer to team members on more complex tasks

General and administrative tasks

What you'll need (Required):

Bachelor's Degree, Advanced degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, Natural Sciences & Mathematics or a related discipline

10 years experience in IT Required

Professional certifications are required (e.g. TOGAF, COBIT, ITIL, OCP, CDMP, etc.). Certifications are in relation to disciplines and architecture frameworks.

2 years experience of demonstrably solid performance in an architect role working with cross-functional teams (within IT and/or within the business) on enterprise-level or complex/novel system implementations

2 years of relevant industry experience (e.g. medical device, pharmaceuticals, etc.) or in highly regulated environments

Recent experience and understanding of components for Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Teams Required

What else we look for (Preferred):

Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

Broad and deep technical knowledge – expertise in multiple aspects including hardware, software, applications, and systems engineering and QA/testing

Expert in developing detailed architecture models, design, executable plans and documentation

Expertise in conducting RFPs, vendor assessments, and contract reviews

Knowledge of financial modeling and planning as it pertains to IT investment

Knowledge of best practices related to IT governance, operations, and administration

Excellent documentation, communication, and interpersonal relationship skills including negotiating and relationship management skills with ability to drive achievement of objectives and communicate to various levels of audience or to explain complex or technical matters in a manner suitable for non-technical audiences

Recognized as an expert in own area within the organization

Expert knowledge in at least one discipline (e.g. Analysis, Design, Development, QA/QC, etc.)

Substantial technical knowledge with expertise in at least one technical language or data management system (e.g. Oracle, SQL Server, C#, Java, HTML5, JavaScript, Informatica MDM, Informatica IDQ, Informatica Cloud Services, Collibra, AWS Data Lake Services, Snowflake, etc.)

Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels and proactively escalate issues to appropriate levels of management in the organization

Strict attention to detail

Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

Adhere to all company rules and requirements (e.g., pandemic protocols, Environmental Health & Safety rules) and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/control
