Description Robert Half is looking to find a talented, efficient Staff Accountant to join an esteemed organization. The responsibilities of a Staff Accountant entail preparing journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation. Many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close will be your reponsibility. Additionally, you'll be participating in compliance, reviewing schedules for the reporting processes, and staying connected with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits. This position involves a good deal of time spent on producing Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets. Based in the Seattle, Washington area, this company is offering a short-term contract / temporary opportunity that's sure to challenge as well as reward effort.Key responsibilities
Create monthly statement analysis to be used for management reportings
Assist in the month end, quarter end and year end closing process including monthly financial close workbook preparation
Carry out month end close, journal entries, without supervision
Be a part of various department-wide initiatives
Commentate on a wide variety of financial data and communicate it in a useful and understandable manner
Ad-hoc reporting and special projects, as needed
Be responsible for account reconciliations including prepaid expenses, payroll, and other assignments
Take part the in implementation and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures, ensuring compliance with GAAP
Carry out fixed asset ledger, depreciation, and reconciliation
Support capital lease and monthly payment schedules Requirements - Data entry experience
Bank reconciliations experience preferred
Proven knowledge of Accounts Receivable (AR)
Comprehensive knowledge of month end closings
Monthly Bank Reconciliation experience
Accounts Payable (AP) experience
Vow to meet business deadlines
Competent with spreadsheets and databases
Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work well in matrix organization and dealing with ambiguity
Recent and relevant accounting experience
Great attention to detail
Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems
Demonstrated ability in exemplary analytical, quantitative and social skills
BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics
Current and relevant ERP system experience
Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases
