Description We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Staff Accountant to join our finance team. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is ready to contribute to the financial success of a dynamic organization while advancing their accounting career.Position Overview:The Staff Accountant will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the company. This position requires a solid understanding of accounting principles, strong attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be proactive, have excellent problem-solving skills, and be able to work collaboratively with other departments.Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and post journal entries for month-end and year-end closing.
Assist with the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Prepare account reconciliations and maintain supporting documentation.
Perform monthly and quarterly accruals and adjustments.
Monitor and analyze financial data to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
Assist in the preparation of internal and external audit schedules and respond to auditor inquiries.
Support the accounts payable and accounts receivable teams as needed.
Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting regulations, tax laws, and company policies.
Maintain and improve accounting procedures and internal controls.
Assist with ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as required.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
At least 2-4 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on general ledger, financial reporting, or corporate accounting.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP) and Microsoft Excel.
Solid understanding of financial statements, account reconciliations, and month-end closing processes.
Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent organizational and time-management abilities, with the capacity to meet deadlines.
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams.
CPA or CPA candidate status is a plus but not required.
