Sushi Chef and Sushi Helper

Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Sushi Chef & Helper to join our team in the Dietary department. As a Sushi Chef & Helper, you will assist in food preparation and ensure the smooth operation of our kitchen. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in gaining experience in the food industry and culinary field.

Responsibilities:

- Assist with food preparation, including chopping vegetables, preparing ingredients, and assembling dishes

- Follow recipes and portion sizes to ensure consistent quality

- Clean and sanitize Sushi bar equipment, utensils, and work areas

- Assist in menu planning and contribute ideas for new dishes

- Maintain inventory of food supplies and notify supervisor when items need to be restocked

- Adhere to food safety guidelines and regulations

- Collaborate with other staff to ensure efficient workflow

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in a sushi restaurant

- Knowledge of basic food handling and preparation techniques

- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment

- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness

- Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
