The SVP functions in sync with the WA and PacWest leadership teams to implement strategic directives in support of OCN’s mission, vision and values. Directs the development of short and long-range objectives, financial and operating plans for the organization. Builds a values-based culture that attracts and retains exceptional talent to drive results. Establishes an organization structure and delegates authority to leaders to drive business and operational results.As President, this position leads Optum Care’s Network expansion; provider, practice and community engagement; organizational governance and Board development initiatives; exploration of new business opportunities; and support of key strategic partnershipsIf you live within 60 miles of Seattle, WA, you will have the flexibility to work remotely as you take on some tough challenges.Primary Responsibilities:

Responsible for the expansion, development, and engagement of the Optum Care Network to support the formation of a “high-performing”, clinically-integrated network:

Oversees the expansion of the Optum Care Network into new and existing geographic regions within the PNW

Oversees the planning and implementation of the Optum Care Network clinical integration initiatives and outcomes, partnering with the CMO

Oversees the distribution of the Optum Care Network performance, Practice Responsible for the expansion, development, and engagement of the Optum Care Network in order to support the formation of a “high-performing”, clinically-integrated network:

Oversees the expansion of the Optum Care Network into new and existing geographic regions within the PNW

Oversees the planning and implementation of the Optum Care Network clinical integration initiatives and outcomes, partnering with the CMO

Oversees the distribution of the Optum Care Network performance, Practice Engagement Initiates, partnering with VP of Network Engagement

Oversees Optum Care Networks financial performance, partnering with the CMO

Oversees the regions Contract performance including Payor, Provider and Hospital Systems, partnering with the VP of Contracting

Oversee the regions Clinical Quality, Risk Adjustment and Affordability Initiates, partnering with the regions Chief Clinical Officer

Partners with the regions executive team, administrative and clinical leadership to facilitate deployment of Optum Network strategies and to align the Networks performance with Optum’s Mission

Is responsible for defining business strategy. Spearheads and provides important expertise to the development, communication and implementation of effective business strategies and processes

Job Specifications:

Comprehensive understanding of health care administration and current issues within the health care environment. Requires innovative thinking and ability to anticipate changing business conditions. Requires proven skills in staff communications and delegation

Ability to function in both a general management and leadership role and deliver results

Forward thinking with proven ability to identify trends and impacts on the business. Create plans to leverage these opportunities and to mitigate potential threats

Solid written and verbal communication and presentation skills

Bachelor’s Degree

10+ years of experience in a Director or higher leadership role responsible for oversight of a clinically integrated network

10+ years of experience working with Payor, Provider and Hospital Systems contracts

5+ years of experience partnering with a clinical healthcare leader such as a Chief Medical Officer or Chief Clinical Officer

5+ years of experience working within a healthcare setting that operates under a value based care or capitation model

Experience with a budget responsibility of $25M or greater in current leadership role

Experience leading a team of direct and indirect reports of 20 or more in your current role

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s Degree in Business or related field of study

10+ years of leadership experience working within a large healthcare setting in California or Washington state
