Job Description

The Systems Engineer will:

  • Provide systems engineering and operational support for government agencies within a highly secured classified network
  • Provide technical documentation to include system design and diagrams, processes and procedures
  • Work with Information Security to ensure that all hosted environments meet DISA STIG

Qualifications

  • Active Top Secret clearance required
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree or 5 years general work experience required
  • 5+ years of relevant professional experience in the IT field preferably in an enterprise hosting environment
  • Experience with engineering and operating and maintaining a 24/7 mission-critical data center infrastructure
  • Must have working knowledge of:
    • Exchange 2013-2019
    • Microsoft Server 2012-2019
    • Virtualization Platforms: VMWare ESXi and Citrix
    • Active Directory, LDAP
    • LAN, WAN, DNS, TCP/IP
    • Scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, etc…)
    • HP and/or Dell Servers
  • Knowledge of NIST Federal security requirements and how they apply to hosted systems
  • Experience in hosted application delivery in classified networks
  • Knowledge of Data Center environment and operational best practices
  • Proven experience in capacity planning and delivery
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be able to learn quickly
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Motivated self-starter
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player
  • Experience with eDiscovery applications such as Veritas is a big plus
  • Experience with troubleshooting and tuning SQL database issues is a plus
  • Experience with Azure Government Cloud a plus

Physical Requirements: Qualified candidates will need to have the ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs., be able to move/traverse throughout work facility, and communicate frequently with co-workers.
