As a curriculum developer, you will be responsible for analyzing, designing, and developing high quality training content for technical and non-technical learning programs internally to support AWS Managed Services (AMS).Key job responsibilitiesAMS Training develops tailored learning programs and content for AWS Managed Services (AMS). We are committed to contributing to the operational excellence of AMS and endeavor to empower our team with extensive knowledge of our components and processes. Both training content and programs are developed to support our engineers and assist them in providing the best customer service, troubleshooting, and creative solutions for our enterprise customers. We also provide continued learning opportunities that increase the team’s skillsets and enable innovation as we continue to automate solutions and improve our Operations service. We continue to, “develop experts who in turn develop more experts” through the adoption of the AWS Support SME Program and the new Bar Raiser program. AMS Training owns the following content and programs for AMS globally: customer and partner training content, launch training (external and internal), internal new hire onboarding and continuing education, and internal accreditations.A day in the lifePosition is currently remote with stakeholders in Virginia, Washington, India, Sydney, Dublin, Manchester, and Dallas. Must be able to travel to these places within one week notice. You will be surrounded by people that are extremely smart, passionate about cloud computing, and believe that world class support is critical to customer success.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS· Bachelor's degree in communication, education, design, or related field· 4+ years of experience in an instructional design/curriculum development role or similar, including significant experience in creating e-Learning courses· 2+ years' experience in using authoring tools, such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate· 1+ year experience in multi-media development with audio, video, and/or graphic design (e.g., Audacity, Adobe Audition, Camtasia, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop)· 2+ year experience working with Learning Management Systems (LMS)PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS· Demonstrated experience designing and developing training materials and content to include creating instructor-led materials, online/e-learning modules, job aids, online tutorials, multimedia products (video, graphic, audio), and other training materials· Ability to apply adult learning principles and incorporate this into curriculum design and development· Experience using video editing tools (Final Cut, Adobe Premier, After Effects, Camtasia or similar)· Working understanding of web and media design tools (Adobe Creative Cloud, HTML, CSS)· Experience working with and integrating the use of knowledge bases and online reference for learning and performance support· Experience collaborating with subject matter experts and managers to help write, design, develop, and manage technical and non technical content· Experience using data collection, research, and analysis to evaluate project outcomes and improve individual and organizational performanceAmazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
