Description:

Gamestop, Inc is seeking a flexible, hands-on Unified Communications Engineer candidate to assist in design, implementation and support of telecom technologies for retail stores, campuses and call centers. This role is responsible for the design, implementation, monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimization of all telecom related components including VOIP services, vendor carrier lines, faxing services. This individual will analyze and resolve phone problems in a timely and accurate fashion, provide end user training where required, and provide new solution recommendations.

This role is primarily remote, but office presence may be required for collaboration and design projects. Candidate must be local to a Gamestop, Inc Hub office in Dallas/Fort Worth (preferred), Seattle, or South Florida (Ft Lauderdale / Hollywood). Minimal travel as needed.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Implement new and enhanced technologies around telecom needs
  • Adoption and adherence to current IT policies and processes
  • Design, implement and support telecom solutions related to retail stores, corporate campuses as well as call centers
  • Monitor system hardware and software and manage system and service performance.
  • Maintain documentation regarding system configuration, operating procedures, and runbook records
  • Determine capacity and performance planning goals
  • Prepare evaluation studies and make recommendations for vendor management and/or service selection
  • Participate in on-call rotation to respond to needs of a 24x7 environment. Must be flexible to work extended hours when required and be available for periodic weekend work

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, JOB SKILLS, ABILITIES

  • At least 2 years supporting public cloud VOIP solutions
  • Must have industry knowledge of Telecom RespOrg management, Hosted SIP services and cloud based VOIP systems
  • Experience managing large scale telecom solutions
  • Jira Service Management
  • Basic knowledge of MS SQL

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE)

  • A bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science or other related degree
  • 5+ years of experience supporting, installing, configuring and troubleshooting enterprise telecom solutions including VOIP and call centers
  • Exposure to NICE (InContact, Studio, IEX/WFM), ZenDesk, ZenDesk Talk, Twilio products
  • Administration of Broadsoft hosted SIP environments
  • Strong documentation skills, proficient in design documents and diagrams
  • Working knowledge of multi-unit (chain) retail systems and processes
  • SIP Proxy or phone system routing into Microsoft Teams
