Our client has a brand-new opportunity for a Design / UX Researcher to join their multi-disciplinary team of over 60 user researchers, product planners, and customer advocates working on a breadth of user experiences across their platform. Our client s success in doing so is dependent on building teams that include people from a variety of backgrounds and experiences who can challenge each other's assumptions with fresh perspective. Their team's mission is to transform authoring and storytelling through intelligent services, natural user interfaces like voice, pen, and touch, and mobile first experiences. Scope of Activity and Responsibilities:

  • Spaces of impact will be vast and human-centric
  • Helping people read, write, tell stories, collaborate, and create in ways personalized to their needs
  • Influence topics such as: inclusive design, voice input, AI (artificial intelligence) driven personalization, video storytelling, and responsible technology
  • Coach Product Managers, Designers and Engineers on a wide array of topics
  • Empowering others to run effective research activities and thoughtfully interpret insights
  • Develop expertise as you build off related research insights across project groups and work closely with researchers on the team to create plans, execute studies, and help craft stories to bring insights to life
  • Common methods include: heuristic evaluations, moderated and unmoderated interviews, diary studies, surveys, concept value testing, and usability / benchmarking evaluations
  • Inspire early design exploration, collect user feedback to support iteration, and measure success of solutions
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong communicator who brings a point of view to your work
  • Skilled in managing multiple projects and can adapt with ease in support of team goals
  • Eager to learn and understand about diverse audiences, their behaviors, context(s), and motivations - across all phases of the customer lifecycle and user journey
  • Demonstrated strong empathy for these users while balancing the vision and constraints of stakeholders
  • Rich knowledge of research fundamentals and practice applying qualitative methods (bonus for quantitative experience)
  • Able to synthesize across sources to uncover the "why behind data
  • Some experience conducting research in work contexts (internship or beyond) preferred
  • Wants to learn, grow, and embody new ways of working
  • Enjoy exploring innovative approaches and light up when collaborating with others
