Q Analysts is looking for experienced testers to work on testing applications for Microsoft based Augmented and Virtual Reality products. Project requires a knowledgeable background in testing OS apps or games or visual interfaces with good attention to detail. Technical troubleshooting skills are also required. Roles will be onsite at Microsoft's Redmond, WA campus.Testers will work with teams to plan daily schedules, perform configuration and management to support automated hardware testing run manual test cases, logging detailed bugs, and document and create test reports. Project involves testing Augmented Reality applications on a AR headsets. Requires good exploratory skills, sharp visual skills and an inquisitive mind to test the limitations of the software and hardware. They will also have to be comfortable with team collaboration. Functionality to be tested includes controllers, headsets, store interfaces, apps etc. Flexibility to work nights and 25% domestic travel is a possibility.Job Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
- Provide ongoing Test Execution with devices
- Perform configuration and management to support automated hardware testing within labs
- Investigate, troubleshoot and advise or correct Powershell scripts
- Create and modify documentation to support manual testing for custom/standard test environments
- Triage and resolve client production issues, both technical and non- technical
- Gather and analyze information, evaluate impacts, and resolve or escalate issues as needed
- Recommend improvement in processes, documentation, and overall client experience
- Provide ongoing Test Execution support to developer community
- Provide ongoing End to End Scenario testing for developer community
- Provide Regression testing support to developer community
- Generate targeted reporting to allow data-driven decisions
- Reduce spend through knowledge share of known negative occurrences
- Expedite delivery by providing immediate access to needed data
- Maintain hardware inventory and security practices
- Previous Microsoft testing experience
- Device, hardware, game testing background
- Windows OS knowledge (OS installs, joining domains, powershell/cmdline, troubleshooting)
- Debugger and triage experience
- Azure DevOps experience
- Detailed oriented
- Good time management
- Self-directed & self-motivated
- Able to adapt to change quickly on a daily basis
- Good communication skills
- Scripting experience, e.g. ability to quickly identify add-ins, reg. keys, etc.
