The Boeing Company is seeking a multi-disciplined Systems Engineering Senior Manager to lead the systems integration of the VC-25B design in San Antonio, TX and Tukwila, WA.

Candidates with relevant systems integration, electrical, systems, or mechanical engineering backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

Position Responsibilities:

Engineering Management responsibilities will include (but are not limited to)
  • Cross-team and cross-program leadership to drive the design maturity through design development of this major aircraft modification program.
  • The successful candidate will consider the physical and functional architecture designs as a complete system of systems, and work through the integration team to connect others and resolve technical issues.
  • Ensuring certification compliance and conformity
  • Acquiring resources and managing engineering Statements of Work (SOW)
  • Champion first-time quality, process improvements, and risk / opportunity management
  • Managing cost and schedule performance at a senior integrated level
  • Interfacing with customers, program teams, suppliers and senior management
  • Managing the necessary support to meet an aggressive modification schedule

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. Ability to obtain a Top-Secret U.S. Security Clearance Post-Start.

Basic Qualifications (Requirements):
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in an engineering or science related field
  • 1+ years' experience mentoring, coaching, guiding, and leading teams

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience):
  • BDS experience preferred but not required
  • Experience with Commercial or Commercial Derivative aircraft (i.e. 747, VC-25, C-32)
  • Active / Current Secret or Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance within the last 5 years is a PLUS

Relocation:

This position is located in a location that does not offer relocation. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
