Trupanion is seeking a results-driven leader for a new VP of Ecommerce position. The VP of Ecommerce will accelerate growth, foster innovation, and enhance market competitiveness through a seamless digital acquisition journey. This role is responsible for developing and executing the overall ecommerce strategy to drive online pet growth and enhance the digital experience.  The VP of Ecommerce will build and mentor a results-driven team, instilling a growth mindset rooted in curiosity, precision and speed- ensuring that the Ecommerce team is a powerful engine for the business.Reporting to the Chief Revenue Officer, we’re looking for a high-impact and hands-on leader with a proven track record of building teams, achieving revenue goals, and creating a long-term ecommerce vision. Success in this role is defined by the consistent delivery of efficient, high-impact growth through a balanced approach of experimentation, automation, and innovation.This position is open to candidates in the Seattle area. You will have a hybrid remote/in-office schedule where you will work from our casual, pet-friendly office at least 3 days a week.Responsibilities:Architect, articulate and execute a vision and high-impact digital strategy that aligns with the company’s long-term goals.Oversee the evolution of all digital and acquisition channels including SEO, SEM, email marketing, SMS, paid media, and websiteOversee the performance of all digital partner integrations, including highly visible partners like State FarmChampion marketing technology and automation that power personalized journeys and convert pet owners into loyal members, managing key vendor relationships to enable innovation and maximize valuePartner with the analytics team to apply data-driven insights in media strategy development, audience segmentation, targeting and A/B testingBuild and mentor a high performing team and foster a culture of innovation and experimentationLeverage a deep understanding of our brand, members, and value proposition to ensure alignment on and offlineBuild and refine operational frameworks to bring clarity, accountability and consistent execution to marketing initiativesQualifications15+ years of experience in ecommerce, digital marketing, or growth leadership roles, with a proven track record of driving measurable revenue growth.10+ years of experience leading and scaling high-performing, cross-functional teams.Demonstrated success owning or influencing digital strategy across acquisition, conversion, and retention.Experience collaborating cross-functionally with marketing, product, engineering, and analytics teams in fast-paced environments.Proven ability to build, lead, and develop results-driven teams with a focus on innovation and accountability.SkillsDeep expertise in performance marketing, digital channels (SEO, SEM, email/SMS, affiliate), and ecommerce operations.Advanced analytical skills and a data-first mindset.Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.Hands-on experience with ecommerce and digital marketing toolsStrategic thinker with a strong bias for action, experimentation and continuous optimization.Compensation:The pay range for this position is $210,000 - $240,000, on a full-time schedule.Along with base salary, Trupanion employees may be eligible for monthly bonuses.We want all employees to be invested in Trupanion’s success, so we grant Restricted Stock Units to all new team members. Our new hire grants vest over 4 years.
