This position is a customer-facing position providing professional technical assistance for deployed conferencing equipment. The position includes diagnostics and problem resolution for conference room technology system failures. In addition, the technician will perform detailed preventative maintenance checks and services to maintain the systems at peak operating conditions aligned with enterprise and manufacturer standards.Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct support to users with training and technical issues in conference spaces
  • Provide scheduled preventative maintenance, replace failed or out of date components
  • Provide technical support of planned broadcast events as needed
  • Setup and monitor conference calls as needed
  • Train and assist lesser skilled team members as needed
  • Work flexible as required, hours may vary depending on events
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with AV conferencing equipment, complete service tickets
  • Open and manage manufacturer RMA as well as R&R for damaged equipment
  • Always ensure vendor compliance with all customer safety and procedural guidelines
  • Maintain inventory of spares, track all maintenance in ticketing system, and submit for needed supplies
  • Continuous education pertinent to the conferencing technologies deployed throughout the company
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in AV Technology industry Installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, servicing equipment, and interpreting system drawings
  • High School diploma required, as well as a college degree or specific industry training
  • Help Desk or Customer Service experience, Service Now preferred
  • Experience in supporting live AV events
  • Current familiarity with commercial audio visual, video conferencing, and broadcast manufacturers and training:
    • Crestron (DMCE-4K, Toolbox, XiO Cloud, CTI-FT, CTI-CTF)
    • Biamp Tesira
    • Shure Designer, MXA-910, Intellimix, Networking for AV
    • QSC QSYS Level 1
    • AVIXA CTS preferred
  • Color calibration and audio tuning experience
  • Data Networking training enough to troubleshoot conference technology devices
    • OSI Layers 1-3 minimum
  • Strong computer skills including Apple and PC based applications, Office 365 Suite, and collaboration tools
  • Scripting a plus
  • Strong organizational and technical writing skills
  • Strong team player
  • Self-Sufficient, self-motivated, reliable, and punctual
  • Excellent work ethic and dedication to scheduled commitments
  • Professional Business casual attire
  • Provide personal tools enough to fulfill outlined responsibilities
  • Provide own reliable transportation
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to lift 60lbs
  • Must be able to crawl under desks to repair cabling issues
  • Must be able to travel entire building
