Yard Associate

Wine Valley Siding Supply is a premier specialty lumber yard that has been focusing on exterior siding & trim for almost 70 years. We pride ourselves on outstanding customer service to professional home builders of all sizes including custom builders, large production builders, and multifamily builders.

Pay: Starting $18.25- $25.00 an hour, Depending on experience

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule: Monday-Friday

Location: This position will start and end each day at our Moses Lake, WA yard. Remote work is not available for this role.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Reliable, on time and excellent attendance.

Current Forklift operator certificate preferred but not required

Ok with repetitive lifting, physical labor, and standing/walking for 8 hours a day

Desire to learn and continuously improve

Ability to speak, write, and read English required

Excellent customer service skills

Class C drivers license or other reliable transportation

Duties and Responsibilities

Load and unload vendor trucks

Operating a forklift in a safe manor at all times

Assemble building material packages

Writes legibly on all materials

Customer service loading and unloading material

Stock and organize material in the yard

General clean up as needed throughout the yard and office

Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions

Maintain a safe work environment at all times

Provides feedback related to customers, jobsites, issues, etc.

Assists other team members with work when appropriate

Perform other related duties as assigned

Physical Demands

Heavy Work: Frequent lifting or exerting up to 50+ pounds of force to move objects. Heavy work will involve frequent standing and/or walking.

Requires the ability to work alone without risk to oneself and operate equipment without close supervision.

Seldom-occasional Stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl

Frequent reaching-extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.

Frequent use hands/fingers to handle or feel (operate, active, use, prepare, inspect, place, detect, position)
