Directly reporting to the Controller, you will be instrumental in leading our accounting operations, including financial reporting, compliance, and team management. The ideal candidate will demonstrate impeccable financial acumen, leadership capabilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including: accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts/disbursements, Billing, and general ledger management/ERP management.

Prepare account reconciliations, specifically: cash, other assets/liabilities, accruals, prepaids, A/R (& reserve), A/P, debt and equity section of balance sheet.

Develop and distribute cost Center/departmental/discretionary spend reporting.

Work with Controller to prepare accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with established timelines for lender/PE Sponsor and internal reporting.

Manage and mentor a team of financial professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Collaborate with external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance.

Monitor compliance for local, state, and federal reporting requirements and tax filings.

Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to strengthen internal controls.

Ad hoc support to the Controller and CFO on process improvement initiatives, analysis, reporting, budgeting and forecasting.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to direct and supervise.

Requirements

3 plus years relevant experience in accounting/finance in a manufacturing and/or distribution environment (experience in a Private Equity environment is preferred, but not required).

2 plus years Big 4 public accounting experience.

Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA preferred.

Proven experience as an Accounting Senior/Manager, or similar role.

Experience with creating financial statements.

Experience with the month-end/year-end close process.

Experience utilizing an end-to-end ERP system. (SOP, POP, MOP and general ledger)

Strong technical accounting skills and understanding of GAAP.

Excellent accounting software user and administration skills.

Intermediate to advanced experience with MS Excel.
