Job Description

In this role, you’ll support the West Coast BioPharma Business Development team to grow Guardant Health’s biopharma business. You’ll play a key role in developing and maintaining existing customers while also building new customer relationships, and accounts.

You’ll work closely with drug development companies to build partnerships using comprehensive genomic profiling-based clinical trial services for biomarker discovery and clinical development. You’ll manage new account onboarding activities including lead generation, CRM data entry, due diligence and contracting, while also supporting strategic account initiatives, identifying and making new connections.

You’ll guide and educate potential partners, whether biomarker researchers, translational medicine scientists or clinical development teams and support the West Coast BioPharma Business Development team with identifying new Companion Diagnostic and Real World Data opportunities.

As well as being externally focused, you’ll be well connected internally to address customer needs, working across partner Guardant functions to solve problems, find solutions and deliver an outstanding customer experience.

Collaboration is a key success factor. You’ll partner and problem solve with people across the research, clinical and business groups, must be able to influence and shape opinions, help teams problem solve to reach decisions, and deliver on customers’ needs.

You have prior sales, business development, or consulting experience and/or scientific or business degree, or you have worked within biopharma, , diagnostics, CROs, or in a related life sciences area.

Prior experience influencing drug development or biomarker research within solid or hematological cancers, or the tumor microenvironment is a plus.

Qualifications

You have a strong desire to develop and close successful cross-functional collaborations, and bring in repeat business from multiple customers.

You are independent and self-starting, and will pro-actively chase leads, identify new opportunities, and bring the best of the company to each customer.

You can tease apart customers’ needs and motivations, and then leverage resources to successfully influence highly technical customers. You enjoy information gathering, problem solving, influencing and presenting.

You are motivated to grow the business, not just your patch, and see the broader team succeed. You are able to prioritize and focus on the important, not just the urgent.

In addition, you bring:

- BA or BS (Advanced degree, M.B.A. a plus)

Additional Information

Employee may be required to lift routine office supplies and use office equipment. Majority of the work is performed in a desk/office environment. Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
