The Challenge
We're looking for an entry-level Engineering Technician to join our Century Center Resident Engineering team.

In this role, you will:
⦁ Provide technical work supporting senior technicians and engineers in construction inspection, surveying, materials sampling, testing, erosion control, and construction traffic control.
⦁ Perform standardized and non-standardized tests and assignments in compiling, analyzing, computing, editing, and processing field data with limited decision making and use of judgment.
⦁ Perform calculations and computations.
⦁ Work inside and outside in a wide range of environmental conditions.
⦁ Maintain project diaries on a daily basis, including correspondence with contractors.
⦁ Perform office and field duties.

What You Bring
⦁ Experience working in a team environment to complete assignments,
⦁ Computer skills using laptops, iPads, and software.
⦁ Customer service experience interacting with the public.
⦁ Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle.
⦁ Good note taking skills.
⦁ Good communication skills.
⦁ Demonstrated ability to supervise activities of junior staff and instruct them in proper work methods.
⦁ Safety toe shoes.

Management prefers
Candidates with knowledge of:
⦁ The general concepts, practices, and theories used in construction, construction inspection, or construction surveying.
⦁ Standards and specifications and plan reading experience.
⦁ Survey crew techniques, duties, and responsibilities.

Notes
⦁ You may be subject to hazards, such as rough/uneven terrain and work in bad weather conditions including heat and cold.
⦁ you will be on call 24x7 and may be required to work nights or weekends.

Education & Experience
⦁ Associate's degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Survey Technology, or a related curriculum; or
⦁ An equivalent combination of training and experience.
