Machine Operator / General Production - 2nd/3rd Shift - Morgantown, PASHIFT HOURS:

2nd Shift: 4pm - 12am (will work 50% weekends within a 6 week span) - $25.30

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Set up, run and trouble-shoot machinery in a safe and efficient manner that is used to process titanium revert and create blends for EB/Plasma melting.

This includes equipment that is used to sort, clean, size, blend and compact all types of titanium revert, sponge and master alloys.

Assist with maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment as needed.

Operate and perform preventative checks on forklifts, front-end loaders and other equipment to load, unload and transport supplies, materials and equipment.

Perform clean-up operations in all areas of the facility.

Perform/complete work assignments in accordance with production requirements.

Become proficient on all necessary functions of the mobile computers.

Complete all shop floor data paperwork/terminal input accurately and thoroughly for the cell/operation assigned.

Train in fire prevention and firefighting techniques to contain titanium fires.

Communicate necessary information to relief employee.

Include information regarding equipment issues, material issues, safety-related concerns, tools and PPE requirements.

Evaluate work area and equipment at the start and end of shift to ensure safety is maintained.

Participate and adhere to all safety policies and procedures while performing any given job function.

Work safely & efficiently to meet or exceed throughput and productivity requirements of the cell; Maintain a clean and orderly work area/condition.

Communicate to Foremen, Lead Operator or Manager any safety, quality or equipment related concerns.

Display a willingness to cross train in other cells/operations to contribute to the flexibility required for implementing our cellular manufacturing philosophy.

Once deemed proficient in a task / cell, must cross-train coworkers as deem necessary by management.

Participate in the continuous improvement programs on both a company and personal level.

Provide suggestions on opportunities to improve the process and reduce costs.

Identify opportunities to reduce yield loss in the process and eliminate waste.

Communicate and conduct oneself in a professional manner that is conducive to a healthy and productive business environment

Support operations in the melt shops and powder production that fall within the tasks listed above.

MUST HAVES:

Read a tape measure

Have a HS diploma or GED

Focus on safety of self and others

Forklift experience would be very helpful

Ideally coming from a heavy manufacturing environment
