80794BRNetwork Engineer IIProfessionalJob DescriptionAs a Network Engineer II onsite you will support and maintain internal network infrastructure, as well as related technologies and equipment. Your role is to support and maintain local area networks and wide area networks. As well as work on and maintain hardware components, including firewalls, load balancers, routers, and switches. Also, troubleshoot network connectivity issues, perform project work, and configure network components. Lastly, you will complete assigned incident management tasks.QualificationsBasic QualificationsAt least 6 years total combined higher education and related work experience, including:At least 1 year of system administration and/or system engineering work experienceAt least 5 years of higher education and/or additional work experience directly related to the duties of the job including:Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or related field or equivalent relevant work experiencePreferred QualificationsCisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)Working knowledge of Cisco ACI (Application Centric Infrastructure)Familiarity with network programing languages (Python)ExpectationsWilling to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulationsWork in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of positionPerform other responsibilities as assignedMust be willing to relocate and/or reside in Kansas CityAdditional InformationApplicants for U.S. based positions with Cerner Corporation must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
