That’s where you come in. We’re looking for a Personal Wellbeing Mentor - someone with a rare mix of compassion, resilience, organisation, self-motivation and flexibility. This is for the person who understands that rehabilitation isn’t just about offering advice; it’s about rolling up your sleeves and pro-actively supporting someone on their journey.This is a demanding role; you'll be working in a challenging environment with people who have complex needs and who can be reluctant to engage. But when you help someone break the cycle and you see them take real steps toward transforming their life, it’s a great feeling.About the Role:You will support a caseload of service users that may be in custody, due to be released from prison, recently released from prison, serving a suspended sentence, or on community orders. Based out of the Ingeus office, local probation offices and within the prison, you will be meeting with service users to support them with all aspects of their personal wellbeing such as accessing healthcare providers, attending appointments and accessing social groups. You will work collaboratively with Personal Wellbeing advisors, probation, and other external services to support them on their journey.You'll often be able to plan your own schedule, but you will need to be able to prioritise effectively - it’s a challenging role where no day will be the same.What You’ll Be Doing:Community-based/custody based support:  You will guide individuals as per their action plan, to help them prepare for release or reintegrate into the community. This could be through practical well-being activities, mental health support, GP and dentist registration, or accessing food and clothing. You will be responding to individual needs, being pro-active, and tailoring your support accordingly.Collaboration: Your intervention may be part of a wider support package so collaborating with internal and external colleagues is a key part of the role.Caseload management: You’ll manage multiple individuals, balancing their needs while keeping up with all the related admin. You will case-conference with advisors regularly.Quality Recording: Keep thorough, up-to-date records of all your work on our IT systems, ensuring nothing falls through the cracks and progress is properly tracked.Community Outreach, Group & 121 Delivery: Deliver wellbeing support in various settings, either through tailored support sessions, out and about in the community, or utilising set interventions and learning materials.
