Description We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our client's team in Morgantown, Pennsylvania. In this role, you will be responsible for a range of accounting functions, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and financial record keeping. You will also manage the administration of financial policies, procedures, and programs and be required to work efficiently with minimal supervision.Responsibilities: Oversee the maintenance of financial records through ledger entries and bank and credit account reconciliations. Generate regular financial reports such as balance sheets and profit and loss statements. Handle payable invoices, including coding jobs, keying invoices, running cash requirements reports, cutting checks, etc. Manage receivables, including billing for machine progressive invoices, spare parts, and service projects. Perform reconciliation of project costing for time and material service projects, generate GPM worksheets, and get approval for invoices to be sent to customers. Maintain reports of open invoices for machine projects and service projects. Monitor accounts receivable reports and follow-up on delinquent accounts. Generate new sales orders in the ERP and manage administrative functions for new order entry. Communicate effectively with customers and team members. Develop, implement, modify, and document bookkeeping and accounting systems using SAP. Prepare forms and manuals for accounting and bookkeeping processes, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, order entry, cash receipts, purchasing, inventory, and administrative assistance. Survey operations to ascertain accounting needs and recommend, develop, and maintain solutions to business and financial problems. Establish and maintain internal controls, policies, and procedures for all accounting functions. Act as a backup for select administrative assistant and Controller functions/processes.
