Terminal Operator

Louis Dreyfus Company (LDC) is seeking a hands‑on Terminal Operator to join our Melbourne Port Terminal team. You’ll play a key role in the safe and efficient receival, handling and export of multiple commodities across a fast‑paced, 24/7 operation.  This role requires flexibility to work across morning, afternoon, and night shifts, with a flexible approach to rostering that supports both operational requirements and work-life balance.To be considered for this role, you must have the following skills and experience:Operate weighbridge, sampling systems and receival equipmentLoad commodities into containers and bulk vesselsComplete quality testing and export documentationOperate forklifts, sweeper trucks and terminal equipmentMaintain site safety, cleanliness and complianceThe following skills and experience would be highly regarded:Experience in grain, agriculture, logistics, manufacturing or similar operational environments (desirable)Comfortable with manual, hands‑on tasks in an industrial settingStrong safety focus and able to follow proceduresAble to work independently and as part of a teamBasic computer skills (MS Office)Forklift licence or willingness to obtainOther tickets (Working at Heights, Confined Space, MR licence, Telehandler) are an advantage
