Accounting Clerk

Description A position has opened up for an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk at a a company in the Wholesale Distribution field. This position is offered through Robert Half. The Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk role offers an exciting opportunity to become an integral part of a company in the Wholesale Distribution industry. This Accounts Payable Clerk role will be located in the Brookfield, Wisconsin area and will be a short-term contract / temporary to hire position. In this dynamic department, there is an opportunity for career growth and quick advancement. The Accounts Payable Clerk will match and batch code invoices, resolve A/P issues, process expense reports, update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, and process checks.What you get to do every day

Provide customer service to internal business partners

Perform daily processes and controls correctly and punctually, ensuring company policies are followed

Ensure invoices, checks, and other documents are properly sorted, logged, scanned, and filed

Manage the process of verifying, logging, and mailing checks, including expediting special handling

Fullfill full-cycle A/P

Provide internal and external audit assistance as required

Carry out additional tasks as assigned

Handle the administrative needs of the AP/Finance Department

Open, sort, and distribute daily department mail Requirements - Prior experience in an A/P role preferred

AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred

Well-founded grasp of Monthly Invoices

Purchase Orders experience preferred

Microsoft Excel experience required

Solid understanding of Accounts Payable (AP)

Proven knowledge of customer invoices

Data entry experience

Experience with Code Invoices

General familiarity with general ledger

Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds

High attention to detail and possesses excellent organizational and writing skills
