Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This role is centered around the management and processing of accounts payable in our dynamic team. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be expected to ensure the accurate and timely handling of invoices and payments, maintain detailed records, and contribute to the overall efficiency of our financial operations.Responsibilities: Accurately process and control expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices. Manage payments via Check or E-Check. Analyze invoice/expense reports and record entries to charge expenses to accounts and cost centers. Regularly review and process travel reimbursements. Maintain and update accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions. Ensure all vendor accounts are accurate and payments are properly posted. Calculate and report sales taxes based on paid invoices. Utilize accounting software systems and ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning tools to perform accounting functions. Utilize Microsoft Excel for financial data management and reporting. Complete related results as needed to accomplish accounting and organization mission. Requirements Proficiency in Account Coding is necessary for the successful execution of this role. Mastery of Accounting Software Systems is required to efficiently manage financial data. Familiarity with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is needed to streamline business processes. Experience in performing various Accounting Functions is a prerequisite for this role. Expertise in managing Accounts Payable (AP) is crucial for maintaining financial records. Knowledge of Accrual Accounting is essential for accurate financial reporting. Proficiency in Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions is necessary for efficient payment processes. Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel are required for data analysis and reporting.
