Description We are in search of an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. This role is key to our operations in the manufacturing industry and is based in Madison, Wisconsin. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be handling vital accounting functions such as processing payments, managing vendor profiles, and collaborating with various departments for auditing purposes.Responsibilities: Process, verify, and reconcile invoices in a timely and accurate manner. Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies or misapplied cash transactions. Review all credit balances, refunds, and adjustments, and apply adjustments and/or corrections to corporate billing records. Ensure accurate and appropriate recording and analysis of revenues and expenses. Analyze and resolve discrepancies associated with accounts payable. Coordinate internal approval processes for all invoices and checks. Respond to vendor inquiries regarding invoice status, payment details etc. Work on special projects and analyses as requested by management.For immediate consideration please call Angie Wheeler at 608-709-0776Requirements Requirements of the Position Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist or similar role. Sound mathematical and analytical skills. Ability to identify and rectify accounting errors effectively. Ability to handle financial and sensitive information with confidentiality. Proactive with improving processes and implementing new ones as needed. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. Highly accurate with excellent attention to record keeping. Comprehensive knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). Ability to work in a high volume, fast-paced environment. Strong customer service skills.
