Performs actuarial analysis to inform premium rate and claim reserve modeling, maintains reporting tools to monitor block of business performance, and develops ad hoc analysis in response to business problems requiring complex solutions. Utilizes health plan and industry data using spreadsheets and multiple analytic query tools in daily efforts.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIESQueries data to maintain variance analysis on age/gender, benefit and other rating factors.
Develops innovative approaches to analyze complex actuarial spreadsheets.
Maintains and manipulates continuance and actuarial tables to quantify alternative plan benefits and designs.
Assists with maintaining rate engine formulas and data to support underwriting process.
Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATIONBachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics or Finance
Active pursuit of professional credential through the Society of Actuaries
