The Associate Scientist II, Production will manufacture enzymes for the Company’s various product lines. The position may expand to also support manufacture of additional product lines and development of new products, applications and businesses.To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the following essential functions satisfactorily:Contribute to operations teams performing manufacturing, quality control, and production maintenance activities in a manner consistent with LGC-Lucigen’s ISO 13485 quality systemsAssist in purifying recombinant proteins from different expression systemsIn accordance with designated procedures and work instructions, prepare and operate chromatography systems, dialysis/TFF operations, and buffer preparationProvide dedicated technical support for the development, implementation, and routine execution of amplicon sequencing kit manufacturing processesSupport and follow protein production protocols geared towards robust and cost-effective supply of molecular biology/NGS proteinsProcess, record, and analyze data following approved protocols and using good documentation practicesIdentify and escalate events that deviate from normal operationSupport process improvements, nonconformance reporting, investigations, and corrective/preventative actions as assignedEffectively communicate results to the LGC-Lucigen teamMaintain cleanliness and orderliness of operational areaConscientiously learn and diligently follow the requirements of the site’s quality management systemPerform other duties as required or assigned to meet business needs
