Eligibility may vary.Position descriptionAble to perform complete echocardiographic study integrating all imaging modalities necessary to obtain all pertinent patient data. Documents patient data and echo exam information completely and accurately utilizing the Echo Information Management System. Functions independently while using critical thinking and problem-solving skills to obtain a comprehensive echocardiogram. Collaborates with Physicians and other team members to assist in interpretation of echocardiographic findings. Expectations extend to include on-call practices as well as assisting with transesophageal echocardiograms, performing stress echocardiograms, and performing pediatric echocardiograms. Demonstrates flexibility in learning and using equipment. Must have an understanding of isolation precaution techniques and must exercise proper precautions to avoid potential exposure.QualificationsGraduate of approved school of cardiac ultrasound, and registry eligible. Obtain Echo Credential within 2 years of hire with RDCS or RCS. Ability to read and communicate effectively in English. Basic computer knowledge. Knowledge of cardiac anatomy and physiology.Additional qualificationsOne year of ultrasound experience in echocardiography preferred. Additional languages preferred.License or certificationCurrent BLS certification. Valid Wisconsin driver`s license.Exemption statusNon-exemptCompensation DetailEducation, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. We have multiple FTE's available ranging from .5 (40 hours) - .7 (56 hours) per pay period.Weekend scheduleSaturday scheduled hours 8:00 am - 12:00 pm then on call. Sunday on call.
