  Job Description: CTO Engineering Manager Position can sit in Springfield, OH or New Berlin, WI  Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and talented CTO (Configure-to-Order) Engineering Manager to lead our team in the design and development of configure to order runways and cranes. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing engineering projects, ensuring high standards of quality and safety, and driving continuous improvement in our design processes. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a commitment to delivering innovative and reliable solutions to our clients.  Key Responsibilities: Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of engineers and designers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment. Provide mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities for team members. Conduct regular performance reviews and set clear goals and expectations.  Project Management: Oversee the design and development of standard runways and cranes, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, production, and installation, to ensure seamless project execution. Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement effective mitigation strategies.  Technical Expertise: Utilize advanced engineering principles and industry best practices to design innovative and efficient runway and crane solutions. Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and cost analyses to support project decisions. Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols.  Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of design processes. Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in crane and runway design. Implement lessons learned from previous projects to optimize future designs.  Use key performance indicators (KPIs) to track project progress and drive efficiencies.  Lead root cause analysis for design deviations, implementing corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.   Frontline Engagement: Work closely with the frontline to understand their specific needs and requirements. Provide technical expertise and support during client meetings, presentations, and site visits. Ensure customer satisfaction by delivering high-quality designs that meet or exceed expectations. Foster a culture of continuous learning with sales & project management teams.
