As an Auto Claims Representative II for our Subrogation unit, you’ll play a critical part in fulfilling Sentry’s promise to be there for our customers.

This role will report to our Stevens Point, WI or Davenport, IA office.

What You'll Do:

As an Auto Subrogation Claims Representative II, you’ll provide prompt subrogation investigation, evaluation, and communication to the claims departments on open claim files, and handle subrogation recovery efforts on closed claim files where adverse-party responsibility has been identified. In addition, you’ll:

  • Receive recovery claim assignments from manager and directly from established workflow and systems

  • Determine if subrogation exists and takes steps necessary for recovering all potential dollars

  • Evaluate recovery claims and payments made in order to establish a clear and concise disposition plan to recover dollars

  • Document all decisions, correspondences, reports, and discussions that occur during the investigation and recovery effort

  • Proactively handling claim files to ensure file accuracy

  • Seek guidance and direction from corporate claims as appropriate

What It Takes:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience

  • Knowledge of insurance policies and coverage, claim payment procedures, insurance regulations, and familiarity with medical and legal terminology is preferred

  • Previous claims experience is beneficial

  • Possess analytical abilities to review, exercise judgement, and evaluate recovery claims to make sound decisions

  • Effective oral and written communication skills with the ability to maintain confidentiality

  • Obtain and maintain state adjuster licenses as required and adheres to state specific compliance issues for assigned jurisdictions regarding recovery efforts/guidelines
