Collections Specialist

Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Collections Specialist in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin. This role is based in the container manufacturing industry and will be conducted entirely onsite. As a Collections Specialist, you will directly report to the CFO and be tasked with handling customer accounts, ensuring accurate records, and resolving customer inquiries, among other responsibilities.Responsibilities: Accurately process and efficiently manage customer credit applications Uphold accurate customer credit records Address and resolve customer inquiries in a timely manner Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action based on the account status Identify overdue accounts by reviewing and analyzing the accounts receivable ledger Use various communication channels to contact customers for payment collection Timely resolve any payment discrepancies, disputes, or billing issues Maintain accurate records of collections activities and payment arrangements Liaise with internal teams such as billing, sales, and customer service to address account concerns Provide weekly status updates on collections progress Requirements Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Collections Specialist role or similar Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems Strong knowledge of Accounts Receivable (AR) Experience in answering inbound calls in a detail oriented manner Familiarity with billing functions and procedures Understanding of collection processes and techniques Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
