The Connected Product Manager maintains a product roadmap aligned to the strategic vision for their product line. They have a deep understanding of the target market/industry and build close relationships with key stakeholders to ensure that the team’s effort is aligned with overall strategy. They manage dependencies with other team’s functions while identifying, building, and managing partnership across the different teams. They work closely within their team to ensure business value and user feedback is translated into new developments when necessary. Product owners will be accountable for specific business KPIs based on the area of the product they are focused on.Key Responsibilities:Lead a connected product line including both hardware and software. You will be tasked with developing product requirements, maintaining and energizing existing products, and commercializing new and existing products in the consumer connected industry that sells direct to consumer, through retail, and into wholesale channels. Utilize market and industry knowledge to translate user needs into user stories and acceptance criteria for their team.  Serve as Subject Matter Expert for their product portfolio.  Maintain a backlog 3 to 4 sprints ahead of the team.You must possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy. You must enjoy spending time in the market to understand the customer and user problems.You must have a drive to uncover innovative solutions for the market.You will partner with engineering and program management teams to define product requirements, facilitate release planning with stakeholders and weekly demos, working with the development team on a daily basis as a key role on the Agile team(s)You will partner with channel sales, marketing communications, and brand marketing to effectively commercialize your products.Additional responsibilities include:Lead situation analysis for assigned product portfolio and provide key inputs to overall Business Unit (BU) strategic planLead pricing decisions for assigned product portfolio driving revenue and margin contribution to achieve P&L objectives.Define market segment priorities and partner with Channel Marketing to establish Goto-Market strategies and plans to achieve P&L objectives for their product portfolio.Partner with program management team on product plan execution.Lead cross-functional product development teams and provide marketing leadership at tollgatesProvide direction on value proposition, unique selling proposition, price, margin and supply for new product developmentOwn product lifecycle management for assigned product portfolio, including all product launches and plans for discontinued product.Partner with Innovation on the definition and scoping of projects. Ensure alignment with brand and BU objectives.Develop product training content to be delivered internally (to Sales team) and externally (to customers) by Channel Marketing.Partner with Marketing Services/Digital to develop 2D, 3D and digital product collateral.Partner with Global Brand Marketing to ensure alignment of product with brand plan.
