Description We are in search of a Controller to join our team based in Lomira or Oshkosh, Wisconsin. The Controller will play a vital role in managing all accounting and financial activities, ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting and enhancing operational efficiency. This role involves overseeing financial processes, internal controls, and strategic financial planning to bolster our growth and profitability. God Bless.Responsibilities: Oversee all aspects of the monthly and year-end financial accounting process, including general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, and financial analysis Establish and maintain policies, procedures, and practices for managing all accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger Prepare comprehensive reports summarizing and forecasting business transactions and financial positions Support in coordinating and preparing annual budgets and rolling forecasts Manage cash projections effectively to optimize the return on excess cash Recommend and implement improvements in processes to streamline operations and reduce costs Evaluate methods to support purchasing and control costs of purchased materials Prepare departmental and company-wide budgets Develop and implement accounting processes and internal controls to enhance financial oversight Monitor compliance and regulations continuously Determine depreciation rates of assets and advise management on operational adjustments due to tax revisions Analyze actual manufacturing costs and prepare periodic reports comparing material, labor, and overhead costs.Requirements Minimum of 7 years of experience in a Controller role or similar position Proficiency in 3M and other accounting software systems Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services Knowledge and experience with Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) regulations Proficiency with Epicor software Comprehensive understanding of accounting functions Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Ability to prepare and manage the annual budget Experience in auditing practices and procedures Proficiency in using Paycom and Paylocity software Knowledge of cost accounting, specifically in the manufacturing sector Experience in standard cost accounting and cost analysis Understanding of cost allocation and cost variance Familiarity with Bill of Materials (BOM) Proficiency in managing month-end close activities, including preparing month-end financials, journal entries, and reports CPA designation or eligibility is required Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
