Sentry has a great leadership opportunity to join a growing team as the Security Operations Center Manager. This role will require the direct management of the following key areas, such as but not limited to; Managing incident response professionals, developing strategic plans, overseeing technology associated with IR, forensics, and security event monitoring, creating, and developing metrics, and managing critical incidents.
What You'll Do- Develop, implement, and manage the monitoring and incident handling program including the technologies, processes, training, and documentation needed to ensure the organization can effectively detect and respond to security incidents.
- Build and enable the team in industry best practices in incident response, incident handling, and threat hunting.
- Provide administrative direction and support for daily operational activities
- Develop, implement, and manage the digital forensics and e-discovery program to support security, human resources, and legal teams during investigations and sensitive matters by preparing and delivering digital evidence.
- Operate as the primary incident handler coordinating event response in the event of a security incident.
- Identify and enable opportunities for automation that reduce team overhead and increase effectiveness
- Mature and manage threat intelligence and threat hunting programs in order to provide invaluable threat intelligence information to the monitoring platform, allowing the security team to focus on events that are likely to lead to a compromise.
- Build and maintain a high performance and collaborative IR team through team engagement, career development, and performance management.
- Manage administration of human resources-related activities including timeline performance and salary reviews and ensure all subordinates adhere to human resources policies and practices.
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience.
- Proven ability in leading team to successful outcomes
- 5-8+ years of information security experience.
- Understanding of cloud based technologies and architectures
- Technical expertise specific to security technologies and solutions generally obtained through work efforts and/or certifications.
- Possess excellent management, communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Demonstrated experience planning, developing, and implementing large projects.
