At Sentry, we have an exciting opportunity in our Data Services organization for a Data Systems Developer that will have an emphasis in .NET UI development. Our team implements and maintains the usability of Sentry's strategic data assets on an enterprise-wide basis. We are looking for someone to join our team to help design solutions for the next generation of data analysis while working in an environment that fosters growth and development.

What You'll Do

In this role, you'll perform analyses, development, and evaluation of data requirements in a data management environment which includes data design, database architecture, metadata, repository creation, and data consumption methods. In addition, you'll:
  • Participate in the identification and development of program and repository specifications.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of new and existing programs, data repositories, and data consumption methods.
  • Offer technical consulting to users of data repositories and assist users on conflicts and inappropriate data usage.
  • Respond to system problems by analyzing the problem, developing a solution, and repairing the system to avoid interruption of services to users.
  • Participate in prototyping solutions, preparing test scripts, and conducting tests for data replication, extraction, cleansing, and data modeling for repositories.
  • Follow Sentry's Information Technology standards and processes.

What it Takes
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with .NET, SQL, Java, or similar languages.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrates a passion for building systems that have measurable impacts.
  • Demonstrates innovation and technical versatility.
  • Demonstrates sense of logic, decision making, and problem resolution skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to work on-call hours as needed.
