IO Datasphere, Inc. has been providing project management, software development and IT staff augmentation services to our clients in the Midwest and throughout the U.S. since 1996. We are an approved vendor on contract to provide software development and IT staff augmentation services for the States of Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota, Iowa, and Wisconsin. We also provide these services to businesses, as well as local and county governments, in the Midwest and nationwide. Our client is looking for a Data Warehouse Developer to supplement current staff and assist with the analysis; development and implementation of various projects related to Business Intelligence (BI) strategies for FY23. This position will assist in the development of data warehouse / business intelligence initiatives. This position will also be responsible for constructing extract, transformation, and load (ETL) mappings/logic of data processing.
Tasks:- Responsible for constructing extract, transformation, and load (ETL) mappings/logic of data processing.
- Prepare technical specification documents, development, testing, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of BI solutions.
- This individual will generally work as a technical developer for the Business Intelligence Team.
- Identifying and prioritizing subject areas to be included in the Data Warehouse
- Assist in the development of a scalable architecture to serve as the Warehouse's technical and application foundation
- Extracting, cleansing, aggregating, transforming, and validating the data to ensure quality standards
- Analyzes and traces through ETL code base to troubleshoot
- Implementing and optimizing ETL processes
- Establishing processes for maintaining, enhancing, and ensuring the ongoing success and applicability of the Warehouse
- 6-9 years – Experience as a Data Warehouse Developer or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of and experience with programming/scripting languages and client query tools: SQL, PL/SQL (Procedural Language/Structured Query Language), Java, Powershell
- Knowledge of ETL tools and applications such as Business Objects Data Services (BODS), Informatica and Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
- Knowledge and experience using proper testing techniques
- Good understanding of project management and project methodologies
- Knowledge and experience of deploying containers on a Kubernetes management source
- Experience extracting, cleansing, aggregating, transforming, and validating the data to ensure quality standards
